Cairn

Terms of service

Cairn is a text-message service from Foodtruck AI LLC, doing business as CMD+RVL. By texting Cairn or entering your number you agree to receive SMS messages from us about setup and the things you ask Cairn to watch. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time and HELP for help; START opts you back in. Cairn starts conversations only between 8am and 9pm your local time. Cairn is also available on WhatsApp and Signal, and these terms apply there too.

Cairn reports what public sources say and cites them. It is information, not investment, legal, or tax advice. Verify anything you act on against the cited source.

What Cairn does and doesn't do
Cairn works from public records and from what you send it. It does not connect to your systems, and it does not take actions on your behalf. A KYC check matches a name against sanctions and watchlists on our own servers and reports potential matches. It does not clear anyone.

What you send
You keep the rights to anything you send Cairn. Only send documents and information you are allowed to share. How we handle them is in our privacy policy.

AI model providers
Our standard providers are Anthropic and TypeSafe AI, Inc., called directly through their APIs, under terms that do not allow training on what we send them. TypeSafe's Jev model classifies, scores, and makes yes/no decisions over short text the platform already holds: catalog metadata such as table names, descriptions, and column lists, and, later, document excerpts. Jev generates no text. KYC names stay on our own servers and are never sent to AI providers. TypeSafe keeps what we send it only as long as necessary to provide the service; it does not train on it. Zero-retention terms are available under an enterprise agreement. TypeSafe does not publish a fixed retention period for standard API accounts. See our privacy policy for the provider policies and retention details.

For the free Text Cairn service only, some small workloads may be handled through OpenRouter and a selected third-party model provider. The same commitment not to allow training on what we send applies. See the Text Cairn sub-processors disclosure and our privacy policy for what may be processed and the applicable retention terms. This exception does not apply to paid Hire Cairn engagements, which follow the provider terms agreed with the client.

Automated access
AI agents and crawlers may read our public pages and follow the instructions in llms.txt, including posting an outcome request. Our public pages may be read, indexed, quoted, and summarized, by people and by AI systems, and may be used to train AI models. They may not be resold as a dataset. Automated sign-ups, automated texting, collecting other people's information, and getting around rate limits or other technical restrictions are not allowed. We may block or end access that breaks these terms.

Free and paid
Texting Cairn is free. The service is provided as-is and may change or pause without notice. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Paid work through Hire Cairn is covered by our order form, and a non-disclosure agreement where one is needed. The hire agreement names the models used. A hired engagement can run under zero-data-retention terms with the AI provider when the client needs that.
